These days, many women seem obsessed with laying down their baby hairs, understandably so. Maybe we can thank Hollywood stars for that or maybe it's because our moms always used to do it for us. Who knows? There are so many chemicals in many edge control gels that do damage to your hair, so, if you're looking for nourishing ingredients that help you look fabulous while also being wholesome, it might be time to start making your own edge control recipes for your beautiful curly hair.
Curly hair is naturally beautiful and vibrant. Still, sometimes you want to switch up your style. Adding a pop of color is a great way to make a bold change. Unfortunately, adding moisture-zapping color to curls that already have a tendency to be dry can be intimidating. If you have curly or coily hair, you probably already go to great lengths to keep your tresses properly moisturized. Dyeing your hair could leave you with dried out or fried, unhealthy looking hair.
If you have fine curly hair, you can attest that it can be both a gift and a burden. On the plus side, you have versatile voluminous hair that allows you to wear it in various styles. With its wild and free yet elegant nature, you always stand out among the crowd.
However, with such benefits also come challenges. Curly hair requires unique maintenance to keep it in tip-top condition. Otherwise, you may notice breakages, thinning, frizz, limpness, split ends, and fly-aways. Though poor grooming techniques can lead to damaged, dry, or brittle hair, there are also other causes. These include chemical treatments, heat exposure, and, paradoxically, your maintenance routine if it becomes tangled up.
The hair and wellness market is awash with sprays, refreshers, and oils, all promising to remake the washday experience. However, we can all agree that nothing comes close to you actually washing your hair.
If women had the time, I'm sure most of us would wash our hair every two days. Not that it helps-over washing is an issue-but because of how it makes us feel.
Too bad women never get the chance or the time to wash their hair as much as they want to. If you can do it twice a week, that's an achievement worth telling your friends. If you can find time to do it thrice or four times a week, put a yard sign out-front with your name and 2024 beneath it.
