How I Solved My Hair Loss Naturally

My Hair Struggles in My 40s

I’m 56 years old, and today my hair has never looked healthier or been as strong. My length is exactly where I want it, and the shine is hard to miss. I get compliments on my hair all the time, and it’s such a confidence boost.

But back in my 40s, things were very different. I was diagnosed with a thyroid condition, and shortly after that, I started menopause (or perimenopause—whatever it might have been). My hair began thinning. It wasn’t as strong, didn’t take color well, and overall, it just looked blah. I worried about what it would look like in my 50s.

Trying Everything

I spent thousands of dollars on hair tools like the Shark Flex with the volume brush, but all that did was leave tons of hair wrapped around the brush attachment. I even bought the Dyson blow dryer, thinking it would be the answer. Hot air on my scalp made me sweat, and still, my hair felt fine, limp, and thin.

I also looked into medicine for hair loss, but I really wanted a natural solution. I took biotin and Vitamin D, hoping it would help, but honestly, I didn’t notice much of a difference.

Discovering RevAir

Then, in 2018, I discovered RevAir and started using it exclusively to dry my hair. That same year, I also started working for RevAir, and I want to be completely honest about that because my hope is to share my personal, true journey to help others.

Today, my hair is stronger, healthier, and shinier than it was in my 30s—or even my 20s. My thinning hair is no longer an issue, and I feel confident. Investing in your hair transforms how you feel. Confidence should come from within, of course, but when your hair looks good, feels good, and others compliment it, that confidence also shines outward. Hair health is essential, and there’s no way around it.

I realize that RevAir’s core customer has beautiful, naturally curly and textured hair, which is almost the total opposite of my hair. And seeing the results on curly and coily hair inspires me every day—and it truly makes a difference for moms. From hormone changes to the frustration of going bald, finding a natural solution that worked for me has been life-changing. Even small rituals, like pink salt treatments or gentle care routines, make a difference—but pairing them with the right tools makes all the difference.

My Tips for Thicker, Healthier Hair

  1. Focus on hair health naturally – Supplements like biotin and Vitamin D can help, but consistency and overall care are key.

  2. Choose the right tools – Hair tools matter. Find ones that dry gently, reduce breakage, and work for your hair type.

  3. Be patient – Hair growth and health improvements take time, especially if hormone changes have impacted your hair.

  4. Think outside the box – Even if a product or tool isn’t marketed for your hair type, give it a try if it makes sense for your needs.

  5. Confidence matters – Healthy hair isn’t just about appearance; it’s about how you feel every day.
